Follow-Up/Post Literacy

Retention of knowledge, consolidation of skills acquired by graduates and the creation of a literate environment are necessities of a good literacy drive since they lead to lifelong learning.. The Division is therefore very keen on addressing the needs of beneficiaries after passing out of the Programme.. The Follow-Up/Post Literacy Unit ensures that opportunities are opened for learners to continue to learn and develop their literacy skills through post-literacy materials and activities after going through the programme.

To achieve its objectives the Unit develops and produces readers and other leisure reading materials for neo-literates. It also liaises with the Ghana Book Publishers Association (GBPA), allied Ministries, Departments and Agencies as well as other Literacy Providers to procure Supplementary Readers to feed mini book box libraries in the Districts.

Books written in all local dialect displayed in the follow-up unit.
