Materials procured for both in-house and operational purposes require professional storage and timely distribution. The Logistics Unit is responsible for the storage and distribution of materials to all levels of programme implementation.

The Unit holds or commands about 70-80% of the organization’s capital, therefore its operations and activities are effectively administered to prevent waste and inefficiency.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the Unit are to:

1. Deliver logistics to the user units at the right place, right time, right quality and right quantity.
2. Establish proper stock or action levels to avoid stock out.
3. Coordinate all the stock items of the various sections for proper planning and implementation.
4. Avoid pilferage of stocks.
