The National Functional Literacy Programme is being implemented in all districts and regions in Ghana. Non-Formal Education

Division therefore has a very large fleet of vehicles and motorbikes at the headquarters, regional and district offices that provide uninterrupted movement from management points to operational points.   Effective and efficient management of the organization’s fleet therefore provide a respite for operational activities. The Fleet Management Unit (FMU) of the Division is mandated to   manage the fleet of vehicles and motorbikes at the headquarters, regional, district and zonal levels.

To achieve its mandate, the Unit has put in place a Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) system in line with the Road Traffic Act which ensures regular inspection and maintenance of the Division’s fleet. The Unit also implements all policies on vehicles and motorbikes that come from NFED and government. A transport Manual that guides users of NFED vehicles has also been prepared and distributed nation wide.
